[August 10, 2013]

Just over twenty-seven years ago, God blessed our family with a precious baby girl who has since blessed us and many others with her sweet smile and kind words. Recently, Christina was diagnosed with a malicious form of cancer from which we are told she will not recover. In these very difficult days, we are reminded of just how precious and fleeting life is here on earth, as well as the many special moments that have formed her life.

I have felt led to share some of those moments on Facebook and I am now posting them here on my blog so as to provide them a more accessible home for future reference.

I am saddened by the news of your daughter, Christina. Thank you for sharing these very loving and personal stories and thoughts with us all. My prayers are with you and your family.

Thank you, it’s good to hear from you. With our mutually shared trips through Instagram I feel as though I know you well. You are familiar by now of mine and Carissa’s travels, Christina is the one that taught me how to do it. 🙂

I am so glad to be able to read your caring words of Christina. I have recently met your sister Cynthia (she is a member of my Sunday School class in Hurst TX) – she has asked us to pray for Christina – We are beginning a 40 days of prayer program at our church where we partner to pray each day at 10:10 a.m. or p.m. – I will pray for her each day at that time. I met Christina when she visited India in 2007. Her young and innocent smile stands out to this day.
My prayers are with you and the rest of the family in this difficult time

I have been following you for a while, and rarely comment. My wife and I have been on the go a lot lately, so that has delayed any words to date. Suffice it to say that in a way, I feel like I know you guys a little, and I’m tremendously saddened. Thanks for posting so much about Christina lately. Prayers. -Shon
