19 Nov My Father… the original Coastal Traveler
My father passed away 2 weeks ago at the age of 87. He lived a full life, surviving the great depression, serving his country in world war II as a radio operator on ships crossing the Atlantic and then again in his 60’s on commercial ships in the persian gulf war. In between he and my mother raised a family of 5 children.
This Saturday November 22nd it will be an honor to tell my fathers story at his memorial service. These photographs remind me not only of his interesting and diverse life but of the Godly legacy that he left behind. I will be sharing that Legacy at 11am at Birchman Baptist Church.
The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith – Billy Graham

Posted at 00:56h, 24 NovemberThank you, Ronnie, for putting this together. I can see that It took a lot of time and thought. We are so blessed to have this legacy. What a difference it would have made in the lives of so many children if they had a Christian Daddy. Even when our Daddy was away we always new that he was there for us. I always felt that he was proud of me and of all his children. Linda
