With Badjao Bridge in the Philippine Islands, Diving with the Badjao

It has been so exciting to work with these digital media professionals, Alex and Aisea are from the Bay area and Aurelia from the Philippines. In the few days that we have spent together, we have grown close and witnessed a great deal. Together we have tremendous respect and admiration for the hard working Badjaotribe and are very excited to help tell their story.

With our Badjao built boat loaded down with Canon cameras, gimbals and glass, we set out to document a day in the life of a Badjao Diver. Here in the Philippines the Badjao spearfish for their survival, much the way that they have for hundreds of years. Their story needs to be told and we are all honored to play a role in sharing it, today we are just getting started.

“We are not bringing Christ to poor communities. He has been active in these communities since the creation of the world, sustaining them, Hebrews 1:3 says, by His powerful Word. Hence, a significant part of working in poor communities involves discovering and appreciating what God has been doing there for a LONG time.”
