Photographing At The Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary Chapel Service in Amman Jordan

Capturing Grace around the world on a 34 day, 8 country, 3 continent trip, photographing for organizations in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Israel and Jordan.

Today I watched through the lens of my camera as the message of Orphan Sunday was delivered in the chapel service at Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary in Amman. I never tire of hearing God speak through Gary Schneider to people who desire to walk in obedience to James 1:27.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
James 1:27

Once again Nisreen (Orphan Sunday Coordinator for Jordan) engaged a receptive people to pray for the prayer requests that she has been gathering this week from the orphans, refugees and vulnerable children we have visited.

The Message of Orphan Sunday –
On Orphan Sunday, Christians stand for the orphan. We are a people called to defend the fatherless…to care for the child who has no family…to visit orphans in their distress. Each event is locally-led. Sermons and small groups, concerts and prayer gatherings, shared meals and youth activities—each rousing believers with God’s call to care for the orphan and what we can do in response.
