Life in The Fairmount – Our Porchtrait Project

Meet the Hahn’s over in the 1700 block of Adams St!

When I received a message from Ellie Closuit (Now Hahn) over on Adams I was so surprised! I had known Ellie and her sweet family when she was just a little girl, attending All Saints Episcopal School with my children. Lot’s of great memories came flooding back. To meet her husband and precious children and take their Porchtrait was special!

When I asked Ellie  my Porchtrait Project question’s about life during Shelter In Place, here is what she had to say….

First, our family is Mike and Ellie Hahn, Oliver (5) and Henry (3).

The hardest part of social distancing has been not being with Oliver and Henry’s great-grandparents. We are so lucky that they all live in Fort Worth and under normal circumstances we try to see them often. We know how important it is to keep them safe and healthy so we have been staying away, but we all miss them dearly!

We are looking forward to having big family gatherings and soon a wedding! My brother is getting married and we are SO excited to celebrate!

We have lived in Fairmount for almost two years and love the sense of community here. We have such kind and generous neighbors, are in close proximity to amazing food and entertainment, and get to explore a beautiful neighborhood. We love Fairmount!

About the Photographer – I’m Ronnie Mosley, my wife Carol and I have lived in the Fairmount almost three years in the 1500 block of College Ave. My wife is the best neighbor anyone could hope for; I love people through the lens of my camera and Carol loves them with acts of kindness.

I have photographed in over 40 countries during the last five years, telling the stories of people who are making a difference in the lives of orphans, vulnerable children and people in poverty.
