Life in The Fairmount – Our Porchtrait Project

Meet the Sim’s over in the 1900 block of Fairmount Ave.

Ever since attending one of Amy’s Yoga classes at Anytime Fitness I have been a big fan! Just a few weeks ago I discovered that Amy and her husband Tony live in the Fairmount. Tony has lived in this beautiful old home since 1988 and has witnessed a lot of changes in the neighborhood during that time. I am so grateful that Amy and Tony are now a part of the Porchtrait Project!

When I asked Tony my Porchtrait Project question’s about life during Shelter In Place, here is what he had to say….

What’s been the most difficult thing for you about shelter in place/social distancing?

Not being to gather in groups for church and entertainment

What do you miss the most during Shelter in Place?

Physical closeness with friends. Our freedom.

Watching sporting events together and having our family visit from abroad.

What do you look forward to the most?

Amy looks forward to teaching her classes with a full class together.

To do as we choose.

How long have you lived in the Fairmount?

(Tony) I’ve lived here since 1988

Share your favorite thing about living in the Fairmount?

Neighbors and sidewalk activity. Porch sitting and visiting with our neighbors

What is your favorite business in the Fairmount? (And why)

Anytime fitness, where Amy teaches her Wise Warriors and Chadras for the obvious delicious reasons!

What kind of work do you do?

Property Management and Amy is a personal trainer and yoga instructor since 1988

What’s been the best activity you’ve done during social distancing?

Being with Amy, being with Tony, being together!

What are you thankful for?

Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness

I have photographed in over 40 countries during the last five years, telling the stories of people who are making a difference in the lives of orphans, vulnerable children and people in poverty.
