05 May Going back to the 12th century In the South of France, Oppède le vieux
As our high speed TGV train whirred along the tracks at speeds of up to 200 mph the memories of Paris felt more like a dream, replaced instead by the beautiful canola fields, ablaze with their yellows and golds as we made out way to the South of France. From the Avignon train station we selected a little Fiat to transport us back into time, into the 12th century village of Oppède le vieux. Upon our arrival to the Belle De Nuit Hotel, our hosts Roger and Laurie served us the finest Duck we have ever tasted. Served beside a old brick oven that was the heart of this former 12th century bakery.
