06 Dec Their Names…. With Badjao Bridge and the Badjao Sea Tribe on Bohol Island in the Philippines.
They are not just “The Badjao”, impoverished and discriminated against, they have names. Their names are Honey Jane, Riza Mae, Pina, and precious Therese whom I sponsor. Even though they many times go hungry and they never have the assurance of a multitude of provisions that I and my friends back home often times take for granted, they laugh, they play and they worship at the little church that Badjao Bridge partners with here on Bohol Island in the Philippines. Jesus says they are our neighbors, our brothers and sisters and we are not only commanded to help them but we are blessed beyond measure to become their friends and walk beside them. Dan Johanson of Badjao Bridge does this in a beautiful way and it is a honor to work alongside him as he represents the hands and feet of Jesus to “the least of these”.
“Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
