11 Feb With T Sackson Simon at Kerala Baptist Bible College & Seminary in India

When T Sackson Simon moved with his family from India to America to attend Dallas Baptist Theological seminary he never imagined that his life’s dream of obtaining a doctorate of theology degree would be cut short. In 2003, while living with his family in Dallas Texas, Shibu received word from his home in India that his father had died unexpectedly at the age of 65. Shibu’s world was turned upside down as he grieved the loss of his father. He was forced to sell his newly purchased home in Dallas and return to India with his family to take over leadership of the college and church that his father had started. Unlike his father who was outgoing, Shibu is quite and reserved. He had never imagined taking over the position of leading the school and pastoring it’s church, it was his plan to simply return with his doctorate and continue teaching at Kerala Baptist Bible College & Seminary, the college his father had started. God had different plans for Shibu’s life and that of his family. Shibu trusted God’s plan and the college and church have grown as a result of his obedience. There are currently 55 students enrolled at the seminary and 150 students who attend the english based elementary school. They also oversee an orphanage which houses and cares for 10 children who have no parents or who were given up by there parents due to poverty, some having been victims of abuse. Shibu’s close friend Binu, offers the next chance of bringing a doctorate degree on staff here and advance the schools ability to offer a doctorate program. Please pray for Binu as he and his family are in their first year of living in America so as to obtain his doctorate of theology degree and then return to Kerala Baptist Bible College & Seminary to minister. Pray also for T Sackson Simon as he leads this college and seminary in southern India. Currently this school is unable to meet the demand for new students who seek to attend here from all over India to be equipped to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
