11 May Carissa Returns…

Carissa and I have a history of needing parental supervision when we get together. Let’s just say that her zest for exploring keeps me young and I love it. Last week Carissa returned from her first year at college and we celebrated by doing what we do best. Eating REALLY GOOD food! This past year, while Carissa was way at Pepperdine University making new friends and memories (and hopefully studying something besides the beach), I was working hard at finding new places to eat for when she returned. Upon her arrival last week I shared my favorite culinary discovery with her, CBD Provisions at the Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas. I was delighted that we picked up right where we left off. She still makes me laugh and steals my favorite flannel shirts and we still love riding our bikes in the park while planning far off travels and adventures. My heart had just expanded again when she left over the weekend for Argentina as part of a summer study abroad program in Buenos Airies… I hope she left my shirts!
