Life in The Fairmount – Our Porchtrait Project

Meet the Salas’s over in the 2800 block of Ryan Avenue!

Please provide me with your family’s names?

Robert, Jennie & Jack (dog) Salas. New baby coming May 1st!

I loved taking the Porchtrait of Robert and Jennie Salas & their sweet dog Jack.

I am looking forward to thier new addition to the family May 1st! I am hoping to be that I am the new baby’s photographer! ❤️

When I asked Jennie my Porchtrait Project question’s about life during Shelter In Place, here is what she had to say….

What’s been the most difficult thing for you about shelter in place/social distancing?

Most difficult thing about sheltering in place/social distancing is not being able to hug our family and friends especially since we will be having a baby soon. We’ll have to wait especially longer for anyone to be able to come and see her.

What do you miss the most during Shelter in Place?

I miss the ease of running errands and not being afraid to go grocery shopping.

What do you look forward to the most?

We most look forward to physically introducing our new baby to family and friends.

How long have you lived in the Fairmount?

Robert has lived in the area most of his life and I moved here 4 ½ years ago where we decided to buy our first home together!

Share your favorite thing about living in the Fairmount?

I love never getting tired of looking at all of the unique houses every time I head out on my walk. There’s always something new to see even if you’ve walked by a million times.

What is your favorite business in the Fairmount? (And why)

My favorite business to visit is Kent & Co. to enjoy a glass of wine and being able to take our dog with us.

About the Photographer – I’m Ronnie Mosley, my wife Carol and I have lived in the Fairmount almost three years in the 1500 block of College Ave. My wife is the best neighbor anyone could hope for; I love people through the lens of my camera and Carol loves them with acts of kindness.

I have photographed in over 40 countries during the last five years, telling the stories of people who are making a difference in the lives of orphans, vulnerable children and people in poverty.
