28 Jul Summiting Tanzania’s Mt Kilimanjaro -After the climb
Tuesday, July 26th Tanzania, Africa
Exhilarated, yet exhausted from summiting Mt Kilimanjaro, our guide Wilfred Moshi treated us to an authentic African feast made by his mom. Our four hour road trip afterwards was interrupted only by a giraffe sighting beside the highway.
Upon arrival to our accommodations, we collapsed into the comfort of hot showers and the first real bed in seven days. The African hospitality is amazing and very much appreciated. Our rest will be short though as our adventurous group has a 5:30am wake up call for a Safari at Ngorongoro, Tanzania.

- Eileen Trees Inn, in Karatu, Tanzania. The highlight of checking in was partaking of the watermelon and pineapple juice, heavenly! The low moment (just kidding) was jumping into the deep end of the beautiful pool only to find that it was not heated, fastest lap i ever swam :-O
- African hospitality
- I honestly missed my cozy tent and all that went with it 🙂
