Life in The Fairmount – Our Porchtrait Project –
PORCHTRAIT #93 (not that I am counting) ?
Meet the Howard’s over in the 2200 block of Washington Ave.
When I asked Harrison my Porchtrait Project question’s about life during Shelter In Place, here is what he had to say….
We are the Howard’s. My wife, Jenna and I have a 1-year-old son, Teddy, and two dogs, Bailey and Cooper. The most difficult part about shelter in place/social distancing for us has been the lack of family time. This is especially true for Jenna, whose family is in San Diego. We have not been able to see them since Christmas. So that is definitely what we miss the most! And the sense of normalcy, being able to go to the grocery store, park, etc. without a second thought. We are looking forward to our trip to San Diego to visit family in August (fingers crossed!).
We have lived in Fairmount for 3 years. Our favorite thing about living in Fairmount is the charm, our porch and the proximity to work and play! We love being able to walk to Magnolia, and frequent Cane Rosso, Salsa Limon and now Southside Rambler – we are all about good food and drinks!
I am a Physician Assistant at Cook Children’s in psychiatry and Jenna now stays at home with Teddy.
While social distancing, we have enjoyed LOTS of walks and porch time, as well as numerous take-out dinners to support local businesses. We are so thankful for Teddy, our families, our health and our safety, especially during this time.

About the Photographer – I’m Ronnie Mosley, my wife Carol and I have lived in the Fairmount almost three years in the 1500 block of College Ave. My wife is the best neighbor anyone could hope for; I love people through the lens of my camera and Carol loves them with acts of kindness.
I have photographed in over 40 countries during the last five years, telling the stories of people who are making a difference in the lives of orphans, vulnerable children and people in poverty.
