Life in The Fairmount – Our Porchtrait Project

Meet the Fillmore’s’s over in the 1400 block of S Adams. I loved meeting Dusty, Susan and daughter Sara who is getting married soon! Trying to get their sweet pets into the Porchtrait was the funnest part. My favorite is photo #1 where their kitty looks at Dustin right along with everyone else. I don’t recall now what Dustin did to bring such focused attention… ??

When I asked Susan my Porchtrait Project question’s about life during Shelter In Place, here is what she had to say….

What’s been the most difficult thing for you about shelter in place/social distancing?

It’s been hard to watch friends lose their jobs, we worry about everyone in the service industry.

What do you miss the most?

We miss the freedom to walk to any spot on Magnolia & grab something to eat or drink.

What do you look forward to the most?

We look forward to being able to give our parents (who are at Trinity Terrace) a hug & to seeing our grown children who don’t live with us.

How long have you lived in the Fairmount?

We have lived here for 5 years. We love the sidewalks & porches, being out, going for walks, & seeing neighbors.

About the Photographer – I’m Ronnie Mosley, my wife Carol and I have lived in the Fairmount almost three years in the 1500 block of College Ave. My wife is the best neighbor anyone could hope for; I love people through the lens of my camera and Carol loves them with acts of kindness.

I have photographed in over 40 countries during the last five years, telling the stories of people who are making a difference in the lives of orphans, vulnerable children and people in poverty.
